Frequently asked questions

How long does a Rocket Hockey blade last?

Durability depends on how often you play and on the surface. Our Rocket Hockey 2.0 blade uses a premium magnesium insert and deep-set Firestones to maximize life. Many players use the same blade all summer with regular play.

Why did we invent a blade that makes sparks?

With screens taking over, we wanted something that gets people outside again. The Rocket Hockey 2.0 blade paired with the S2 shaft turns every game into a visual show that rivals video games, bringing back excitement, movement, and memorable street hockey moments.

Can the blade be replaced? How?

Yes. The Rocket Hockey 2.0 blade is replaceable with the Rocket Hockey S2 shaft.

Removing the old blade: a little localized heat may help. We recommend having a specialist sports shop do this step.

Installing the new blade: no heat required. Insert fully per the instructions until the blade is firmly seated.

Important: Any work done without a professional is at the user's own responsibility. Rocket Hockey cannot be held liable for damage or injury caused by improper handling.

On which surfaces can I play?

Rocket Hockey products are designed for hard, dry surfaces like asphalt or concrete.

Using other surfaces (wet, icy, painted, uneven, wood, grass, gravel, etc.) may accelerate wear or reduce performance. Rocket Hockey is not responsible for damage to the product or to playing surfaces caused by improper use.

Is Rocket Hockey safe for children?

Rocket Hockey products are for normal recreational use and present no known hazards when used properly and with adult supervision.

For full precautions and recommendations, please see the Warning & Safety page.

How does the blade create sparks?

Our Firestone Technology (patent pending) embeds wear-resistant Firestones deep inside the Rocket Hockey 2.0 blade. When the blade makes contact with a hard surface (asphalt or concrete) during a shot or pass, friction between the Firestones and the surface produces bright, non-flammable sparks. Because the stones are set deep in the blade's structure, the effect is durable and repeatable, turning every shot into a show.
